Refund and Withdrawal Policy
Announced and effective: September 19, 2026 (previous version: September 3, 2026)
Amendment note: this version states that the channel for requesting a refund depends on how the payment was made. Purchases made inside the app through the App Store or Google Play must be refunded through that store, and this amendment sets out that procedure and how the credits are settled afterwards. The procedure and timeline for credit-card payments on the web are unchanged.
This policy sets out the details of withdrawal of subscription and refunds for credits under Article 4 of the M · Raum Terms of Service.
Credits (Nab and Dit) are digital goods with no physical shipment. They are added to the member's balance as soon as payment completes, making them available for use immediately after purchase, and they must be used within one year of being issued. Any balance left unused after that expires and is not refundable. The remaining amount and its expiry date are shown in the top-up and deduction history on My Page.
1. Principles
- You request a refund where you paid. Payments made by credit card on the web are cancelled by the Company through its payment gateway. Payments made inside the app through the App Store or Google Play are collected by that store and refunded by that store, so the refund must be requested from the store. The Company has no means of cancelling a store payment on your behalf; once the store issues the refund, the Company is notified and settles the corresponding credits in your balance. If the store's procedure stalls or you cannot find how to file the request, Customer Support will explain the route and help with the confirmation the store asks for. In both cases, this policy does not limit any right granted to consumers by law.
- Unused purchased credits may be refunded. Refunds are issued only by cancelling the original payment (credit card); no cash refunds are given. There is no way to convert topped-up credits back into cash. Only where the card issuer's or payment gateway's rules make cancellation of the original payment impossible (for example, the cancellation window has passed or the card has been closed), the Company, after verifying the payment and the payer's identity, refunds up to the amount of that payment by a method permitted under applicable law. This exception exists to guarantee the right to a refund when cancellation is impossible; it does not turn topped-up credits into a cash-redeemable product.
- Granted credits (activity rewards, promotions, gift codes, administrator grants, Nab-to-Dit exchange, and bonuses issued alongside a payment) are not refundable unless applicable law provides otherwise, because no money was received for them.
- Credits already spent correspond to digital content that was delivered immediately (such as AI interpretation usage) and are therefore not refundable. Defective service is an exception, and this policy does not limit any right granted to consumers by law.
2. Calculating the Refund
The refundable amount is calculated per payment, not from the total balance. For each payment, the portion of purchased credits that remains unspent is that payment's refundable amount.
Example — if you paid 10,000 KRW for 10 Dit and spent 3 of them, the refundable amount for that payment is 7,000 KRW and 7 Dit are removed from your balance upon refund.
Spending is deducted from granted credits first. Only spending beyond the granted balance touches purchased credits, and purchased credits are consumed oldest payment first. This order keeps refundable purchased credits in your balance the longest. Within each category, the oldest grant is consumed first, so the balance closest to expiry is spent first within that category. Because granted credits are consumed first, however, purchased credits stay in your balance longer, and they too expire one year after they were credited. The amount due to expire and its date are always visible in the top-up and deduction history on My Page.
Reclaiming bonus Nab. Bonus Nab issued alongside a payment is a granted credit conditional on your cumulative top-up reaching a threshold (1 Nab for every 1,000 Dit topped up in total). If a refund lowers your cumulative top-up so that the condition is no longer met, any bonus Nab exceeding the entitlement recalculated from the reduced total is reclaimed from your balance together with the refund. Each reclaim is recorded with its reason in the deduction history on My Page. If the Nab to be reclaimed is no longer in your balance because it has already been exchanged or spent, nothing is reclaimed and the refund proceeds as normal.
Example — if you topped up 1,000 Dit in total and received 1 Nab, then refund 50 Dit, your cumulative top-up falls to 950 Dit, below the threshold, so 1 Nab is reclaimed from your balance together with the refund.
3. Withdrawal of Subscription
You may withdraw your subscription within 7 days of purchase under Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Credits already spent are excluded from withdrawal as digital content delivered immediately, under Article 17(2) of the same Act; this limitation is disclosed before payment. Even after 7 days, unused purchased credits may be refunded under Section 1.
4. Procedure and Timeline
The procedure depends on how the payment was made. The top-up and deduction history on My Page shows which route each payment took.
Payments made by credit card on the web
- Submit a request through My Page → Customer Support, stating the payment and the reason.
- The Company verifies the refundable amount against the payment record and the credit usage record.
- Once verified, the original payment is cancelled through the payment gateway and the corresponding credits are removed from your balance. The Company completes its part within 3 business days; card issuers may take an additional 3–7 business days to reflect the reversal.
- If the authorization cannot be reversed immediately (for example, the card has been closed), the refund is first pursued through that card issuer, and Customer Support explains the procedure together with the issuer. Only where the issuer's or gateway's rules confirm that reversal itself is impossible is the refund made by a method permitted under applicable law, under the exception in Section 1; the Company may then ask for information needed to verify the payer's identity.
Payments made in the app through the App Store or Google Play
- File the refund request with that store: for the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com, and for Google Play in the Play Store app or its order history.
- Whether the refund is granted, and how long it takes, follows that store's refund policy and review. The Company has no means of cancelling a store payment on your behalf.
- Once the store issues the refund, the Company is notified, removes the corresponding credits from your balance and, if any bonus Nab falls to be reclaimed, reclaims it under Section 2. This settlement is completed within 3 business days of the store's notification.
- If the store declines the refund or you cannot find how to file the request, contact My Page → Customer Support: we will explain the route and help with steps such as confirming the payment to the store. The refund itself is still issued through the store.
5. Upon Account Deletion
If unused purchased credits remain, a refund is offered before the account is deleted. If you delete your account without requesting a refund, purchased credits are refunded and then extinguished, and granted credits are extinguished immediately. Payment and refund records are retained after deletion as required by law, so refund inquiries can still be answered.
6. Expiry
Issued credits must be used within one year of being credited; any unused balance expires after that. The period runs from the payment date for purchased credits and from the grant date for granted credits; Dit obtained by exchanging Nab is a new grant, so its one year runs from the exchange date. Expiry applies to each grant in turn, oldest first, and every expiry is recorded with its reason in the deduction history on My Page. Purchased credits that remain before expiry can still be refunded under Section 1.
